ZINC COOKING PLATE (Mahitabeh Roohi)

These plates are handmade in a small factory in Zanjan in Northwestern Iran. My baba made a special trip to ensure their quality before sending them to Australia.

Mahitabeh Roohi are traditionally used to cook omelettes and fried eggs. The heat generated by a zinc pan cooks eggs to perfection.
